HUNTSVILLE | Ground was broken last week on Huntsville’s newest retail business, a Family Dollar-Dollar Tree Combo that will be located next-door to Flonnie’s Drive-In on Glass House Road.
Huntsville is a hub of new commercial growth in Scott County. Mayor Dennis Jeffers announced on Feb. 6 that the owner of El Patron Mexican Restaurant in Wartburg would be building a new restaurant at the former Fireside site on Baker Highway. At that point, construction was already underway on Keeton & Associates’ new office building near the entrance to Roane State Community College. And, now, excavation work has begun at the site of the Family Dollar-Dollar Tree Combo store on Glass House Road.
“We’re just working to grow the town,” Jeffers said Tuesday. “This is just one of many projects. There’s more to come.”
