Pennsylvania’s unemployment remained at a record low of 4 percent in November, according to state data released on Friday.
The commonwealth’s November 2022 unemployment rate is 1.5 percentage points below its November 2021 unemployment rate, data released by the state Department of Labor and Industry showed.
“A historically low unemployment rate for two months in a row means that Pennsylvania workers have the ability to be selective in their search for family-sustaining wages and career paths that afford them the ability to pursue their passions,” Labor & Industry Secretary Jennifer Berrier said. “But the flipside of a low unemployment rate is scarcity of skilled workers for some industries.
