Chester County’s pandemic funds helping small businesses, job seekers – Daily Local

WEST CHESTER—The COVID 19 pandemic dramatically shifted the way Chester County residents work. Many were fortunate to be able to work from home, but for frontline and essential workers, that simply was not an option. For many others, their workplaces were temporarily shuttered during the early stages of the pandemic, and some took advantage of the opportunity to shift their career to a new field. To address the increasing workforce challenges brought on by the pandemic, Chester County has dedicated a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to invest in programs that will help build a modern workforce and drive the county’s economy forward.
