LAWRENCEVILLE – Small businesses are vital to the economy. LaVern Dillard, Administrative & Financial Service Coordinator, Brunswick County Industrial Development Authority, was the guest speaker at the Brunswick Chamber of Commerce meeting and shared her passion for the important role small businesses play and how she works to help small businesses succeed.
Dillard is a small business owner who spent about 20 years working in state government before taking the position at the IDA. She is an active supporter of Rise & Shine breakfast meetings that offer help to small businesses.
